| Epilepsy Education - Community Outreach
Do you know what to do if someone has a seizure? If you recently attended a presentation by the Epilepsy Association of WNY you would be able to respond proudly, "Yes, I do".
The goal of the education program is to reduce the stigma and fear associated with Epilepsy. By teaching the different seizure types and first aid, we enable our audiences to be more comfortable when dealing with seizures, whether it be in the classroom, workplace or anywhere in the general public.
Community Educators present programs based on the age and needs of the audience. There is no minimum or maximum size audience required. Presentations range from school children to college students, school nurses and faculty, as well as for caregiver and workplace training.
